"Kids, remember yesterday when they said there was No future? well--- this is it!" - Blank Reg.
This blog is about the future or lack thereof and how our 21st Century present has or hasn't lived up to the 20th Century vision of the Future.I write about the history of the Future, the future of the Future and pretty much anything involving robots.
Having recently read 20,000 leagues under the Sea, I don't blame anyone for not reading Verne. The ideas are great, the action when it occurs is good, the characters are paper-thin and most of the book is as boring as sin. Pages upon pages of marine life taxonomy. Still you'd think NPR would know better, the term steam-punk itself must be about 20 years old by now. when did The difference Engine come out?

What? They've never read Jules Verne? I would have expected better from these people. Good thing I don't get my news from them.
